fms Studia
The collection fms Studia is publishing its second volume: «The Rule of the Founder, its sources and its evolution». About 500 pages. Written by Br Pedro Herreros, the Spanish edition (with the original texts in French) offers Marists access to Fr Champagnat’s vision of the Institute and the life and mission of the Brothers, based on the norms, the sources on which he drew for the printed Rule of 1837. The work is a thesis for the Licentiate in Theology, written in 1984 and brought up to date in 2008.
The proximity of the bicentenary in 2017, the revision of our Constitutions and the possibility of projecting from our origins the future of the Congregation, all contribute to making this volume a source of great usefulness. We would ask brothers and lay people interested to order the book from the Br Provincial or the District Superior. The orders received up to the end of June will determine the number of copies to be printed and the unit price of the publication.
