The Province of Ibérica promotes the Children’s Rights

The Province of Ibérica continues to work for the promotion of Children’s Rights among minors, educators, families and people around the educational establishments. In this sense, prevention and empowerment work with students through specific tutorials according to different ages is especially important. Likewise, training is carried out for teachers, volunteers and other professionals from the schools.

In all the Marist Provinces with works in Spain there are – since 2011 – child protection policies that have implemented prevention, awareness-raising and intervention actions in schools.

Training Videos

The Child Protection Team of Ibérica presents a series of training videos aimed at all families of educational institutions: ” Abuse in our reality: how do I protect my son or daughter” (Malos tratos en nuestra realidad: cómo protejo a mi hijo o hija). There will be a total of 8 episodes that will be broadcast in the coming months. The objective of the videos is to offer families some keys about the different types of abuse that exist, paying special attention to signs that can alert us that children or young people are suffering, and giving guidelines for action if there is abuse.

The videos are published on the following platform: https://maristasiberica.com/videosproteccionmenor/

For now, you can watch an introductory video that explains the reason for this training and offers a series of data that highlight the importance of training families in this area: what abuse means, what types of abuse exist, what consequences they can have for our children and young people and what families can do about it.

Episode 2, which will be released on February 15, will take an in-depth look at “Physical Abuse.” And the following videos, with a fortnightly frequency, will offer keys and information on abuse due to negligence, abuse between equals, emotional abuse, pornography, abuse on social networks, and finally, sexual abuse.
