Hurricane in Central America

Last week, the hurricane and tropical storm ETA in its path through Central America has caused destruction, desolation and death, mainly in Guatemala, Nicaragua and Honduras.

Br. Hipólito Pérez, Provincial of Central America, reports that “the brothers and communities; relatives of brothers and Marist collaborators; the works and presences in the three countries have been practically unaffected, nor is there any damage to be deplored, thanks be to God”.

The site of the Iberian Province reports that in the northern zone of Guatemala, very much affected by the Hurricane, there is a little school of the Carmelite Sisters with which the NGO SED has been collaborating for years.
